Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council has initiated a masterplan for the town centre of Hinckley with the aim of regeneration increased use of town centre space. The 7 strategic aims of this masterplan are:

To increase the number of people living in Hinckley Town Centre as part of mixed uses, helping to generate vitality and diversity.

To increase accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport and improve and rationalise car parking facilities in Hinckley Town Centre.

To enhance Hinckley Town Centre’s image to developers, retailers, residents and visitors by ensuring high quality development in prominent gateway sites into the town centre.

To support the development of new leisure and cultural facilities to improve the quality of life and leisure within Hinckley town centre, whilst adding value and attractiveness to the town centre.

To provide a new link between Castle Street and Stockwell Head to improve opportunities for additional retail development.

To develop a public realm strategy comprising new public spaces, environment improvements and public art.
It is evident from these aims that Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council is committed to the redevelopment and regeneration of Hinckley Town Centre.
